- Chinese delegation presents flood-affected cheques to prime minister
Lahore: Prime Minister Sheikh Baz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Aga Khan’s son Prince Rahim Aga Khan and discussed issues of mutual concern.
Prince Rahim Aga Khan conveyed Aga Khan’s good wishes to the Prime Minister.
Prince Rahim expressed grief over loss of life and material in Pakistan’s devastating floods and announced $10 million in financial aid.
The Prince said that he has given instructions to the agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network to fully participate in the disaster relief assistance and recovery work in the affected areas.
The Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes to the Aga Khan.
He appreciated the work done by the Aga Khan Development Network in the areas of health, education and rural development.
The Prime Minister thanked Prince Raheem Aga Khan for announcing financial assistance for those affected by the floods.
He asked Prince Rahim to let the world, especially EU member states, understand what happened after the floods in Pakistan.
PM thanks UAE President for relief aid to Pakistan
Prime Minister Sheikh Baz Sharif met here on Sunday with the Chargé d’Affaires of the United Arab Emirates and discussed issues of mutual concern.
On behalf of the country of Pakistan, the Prime Minister thanked the Government of the United Arab Emirates for the delivery of goods to the affected people.
He thanked UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for providing relief supplies worth US$50 million and UAE Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for providing AED 50 million aid.
Qatar’s Emir assures PM of support for flood-affected people
On Sunday, Prime Minister Mohammad Sheikh Baz Sharif held a phone call with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, to discuss issues of mutual concern.
Recalling his recent visit to Qatar, the Prime Minister expressed his determination to persevere in implementing the decisions made during his visit.
The emir expressed condolences for the loss of precious lives and property caused by floods in Pakistan. Emir pledges Qatar’s support to flood-affected people in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister thanked Emir Qatar for the relief support, including the provision of air bridges for supplies and equipment, and the establishment of a field hospital in Sindh province.
PM, LCCI delegation discuss disaster relief activities
Prime Minister Mohammad Sheikh Baz Sharif met here on Sunday with the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry delegation led by Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Mian Nauman Kabir and discussed relief efforts for the affected people Work.

Chinese delegation presents cheque to Prime Minister
The Chinese business delegation led by the Chinese Consul General in Pakistan Zhao Shiren paid a visit to Prime Minister Sheikh Baz Sharif here on Sunday and presented him with cheques for disaster relief and rehabilitation of the victims.
Talking to the Chinese delegation, whose companies have made commercial investments in Punjab, he said that the Chinese government and people have never left Pakistan alone when needed.
He said the friendship between the two countries is higher than the Himalayas and deeper than the ocean. “We have always been proud of this friend and will be so in the future.”
