Major awards buzz surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s six-part Netflix docu-series released last year has sparked buzz, an entertainment expert says. The couple’s Harry and Meghan series debuts in December 2022 after they signed a multi-million dollar deal with Netflix after stepping down from the royal family in 2020.

The show broke streaming records on digital platforms as the couple faced backlash in the UK and US over their bombshell revelations. Harry and Meghan’s popularity has plummeted in both countries. With Variety pitching Harry and Meghan for their upcoming Primetime Emmy nominations, things might be looking up for the couple.
Mark Boardman, entertainment expert and founder of MarkMeets, told Newsweek: “Netflix’s Harry and Meghan being predicted to win Emmys alone is a major achievement for the television industry and has enormous importance and importance for the Sussexes. Correlation.”
“What this couple needs now is industry validation, and that’s exactly what happened when Variety named their show a predicted nominee in the Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction category. That category is one of the stronger, more challenging awards.” One, it shows the status they’ve achieved at work,” Mark Boardman said.

“Having been in showbiz for over 20 years, I’m sure the chances of being nominated are pretty good. And I’d put Harry and Meghan in the top three to win the category…it might be the chance to win, Because they need to prove to Netflix that they are strong enough to continue funding the couple’s project,” he continued.
“I firmly believe that Harry and Meghan are the strongest contenders to win this documentary series,” he asserted. This isn’t the first time a member of the royal family has been nominated for an Emmy. In 2021, the couple’s two-hour interview with Oprah Winfrey was nominated in the Best Hosted Non-Fiction Series category.
