Prince Harry says encouragement crucial to helping vulnerable | Entertainment

Prince Harry believes “encouragement is essential” to help people through their “fragile moments”.

The 37-year-old prince visited the German city of Düsseldorf on Tuesday (09.06.22) to mark one year away from the next Invictus Games, an international competition for wounded veterans, and Harry encouraged fans to express their concern support for this event.

He said: “I can’t wait to hear the roar of the crowd, feel the adrenaline of the game, add in the laughter and even the tears, of course joy, and we’ll witness the change in our lives. Our eyes.”

Harry then called for more support for wounded veterans.

He explained: “In our most vulnerable moments, encouragement is essential.

“So, I ask that we all do our part to give these incredible servicemen and women the space to be honest, brave and true to themselves.”

Harry – who served in the British Army – also supported the city of Düsseldorf in support of the spirit of Invictus Games.

He said: “From what I’ve seen today, it’s clear to me how we’re going to bring the motto of these games – the House of Respect – to life.

“I believe that showing respect and appreciation is just as important as experiencing it. That’s the spirit we bring to Düsseldorf.”

Harry launched the Invictus Games in 2014 to help service members and veterans recover.

And he’s personally explained what it means to him before.

The prince – with Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 15 months, the Duchess of Sussex – shared: “When I was in the army I promised myself I would be out before I had a wife and kids because I couldn’t imagine The heartache of being separated for so long during deployment, the risk of possible injury, and the reality that if that happened, my family’s life could be forever changed.

“Every member of the Invictus community has experienced these things to varying degrees. I have great respect for the sacrifices they and their families have made in the name of service.”
