Purpose of work

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities
teaching:
The position requires experts in the fields of anatomy and cell biology to develop a syllabus for their respective disciplines. Specific responsibilities of successful applicants include:
- Prepare teaching materials, including syllabus, syllabus, and lesson plans. Regularly revise the theme to fit the theme.
- Teach graduate and undergraduate students in subject areas relevant to the biomedical sciences on a schedule assigned by the line manager.
- Contribute to the development, planning and delivery of high-quality courses.
- Students are provided with a detailed syllabus, teaching methods and course assessment.
- Participate in the selection of teaching materials and other teaching aids required for course teaching.
- Monitor students’ performance in their subject areas and provide remedial classes when necessary.
- Set up and mark exams, coursework, assignments, lab assignments, homework, and any other related activity.
- Use the latest teaching technology to ensure clear and consistent delivery of lessons.
- Participate in professional peer review.
- Supervised teaching practice.
- Develop and enhance their academic competence and effectiveness as teachers within their area of ​​expertise.
- Teach at the undergraduate level as needed.
Research, scholarly and creative activities:
- Conduct research and produce publications or other research outputs based on personal goals agreed upon during the review process.
- engage in scholarly or creative activity in their area of ​​expertise and make the results available for critical peer review.
- Present papers at professional association meetings, seminars, and congresses.
- Participate in panel discussions at professionally organized regional and international conferences.
- Identify and successfully bid for external funding and grants.
- Actively enhance the internal and external image of the College and its faculty.
- Participate in departmental and faculty seminars designed to share research findings and create interdisciplinary collaborations within and outside the department.
- Conduct and manage research and consultancy activities in collaboration with colleagues within and outside the University.
- Supervise students’ research and practical work as well as their dissertation preparation and participate in the assessment of their dissertations.
Academic Services:
- Contribute to departmental or university-wide working groups or committees as requested.
- Contributes to student recruitment, retention and placement efforts.
- Promote service by contributing to the community as a whole in terms of participation, development, or advisory capacity.
- Comply with the University’s information security and confidentiality policies and procedures and report breaches or other security risks accordingly.
- Coordinates with other departments as needed to facilitate completion of tasks and responsibilities.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by Line Manager.

- A medical degree (MD or MBBS) and/or a postgraduate degree (PhD) in a field relevant to the appointment.
- Demonstrable experience in subject teaching and mentoring at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
- Demonstrable ability to undertake independent research with an established record of scholarly publications.
- Demonstrable success in the supervision of graduate students.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of interdisciplinary and academic teams, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to provide leadership and initiative.
required experience
- Minimal 3 years’ Teaching experience and experience at a level relevant to the position and would have contributed to research and/or scholarship and/or teaching. Can demonstrate some level of management skills in a team.
