The Arts and Humanities Program at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for full-time tenure-track/tenure-track positions. We seek a scholar and educator with a research and teaching focus on African history and a proven track record of teaching and engaging with global frameworks.
The ideal candidate must have a strong research agenda and be expected to have a publication record suitable for tenure at NYU. A commitment to teaching excellence, the ability to supervise bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral students, and a record of service to their current and previous institutions is required.

qualifications
This position requires a Ph.D. in history, or comparable in African studies.
