Talking about the launch of the initiative, Dr. Aman Puri, Consul General of India in Dubai, stated that Indian blue-collar workers are highly sought after by UAE employers because of their “hard work and law-abiding nature”.

He added that more than 3.3 million Indians live and work in the UAE, and about 65% of them are from the blue-collar class.

He said that the top priority is to strive to meet the skill expectations of the friendly Indian workforce.

“With the largest working diaspora in the UAE, it is natural that the Indian consulate is always interested in knowing the skill mix that can improve the employability and productivity of UAE India’s human resources,” Puri said.
