Public appeals for justice for Chrystul Kizer, who faces prison life for murdering a man who trafficked her

Roommate Chrystul Kizer shot and killed Randall Volar III in Kenosha, Wisconsin in June 2018. She was only 17 years old. She told the authorities that she was tired of being sexually traded and abused by him. Kaiser is currently on bail and awaiting trial, but the protesters, like Kyle Rittenhouse, called for acquittal in the name of self-defense.

Chrystul Kizer was charged with first-degree intentional homicide, the same as Rittenhouse’s charges, and faced life imprisonment after her legal team argued that she was defending herself from abusers.

“We have seen that Rittenhouse can escape premeditated murder,” Kenosha resident and protester Jess Sigh told the Milwaukee Sentinel. “Chrystul Kizer should be able to really defend himself.”

Kizer went to Volar’s home in 2018 and shot him twice in the head. Then she set fire to the house and drove away in his BMW.

Vollar was only 34 years old when he was killed, and when he was 16 he met Kristall on Backpage. He was previously arrested on child sexual assault charges and has a history of abuse of underage black girls, Washington post report.

Although the prosecutors acknowledged Volar’s previous record of sexual assault, they believe that Chrystul’s actions were premeditated. However, Chrystul’s lawyers are citing self-defense arguments, an argument that had never been used in a homicide before Kyle Rittenhouse.

Local protester Lorna Revere said: “All those who care about the racism that this country faces, blacks, whites, are angry, it’s like stabbing you in the chest again and again.”

In Chrystul Kizer’s case, a trial date has not yet been set.
