UAE Declares Paid Public Holiday in Celebration of National Day

Private sector workers in the UAE will have paid public holidays on December 2 and 3 for the National Day celebration. However, due to the dates falling on the Saturday-Sunday weekend, there won’t be an extended break this year.

Different from Last Year

In contrast to the previous year, where an extra day off on December 1, Commemoration Day, contributed to a three-day break, this year, December 1 is a working day.

Anticipating a Refreshing Start to 2024: National Day

Despite the lack of an extended break for National Day, residents can look forward to a three-day break at the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024.

Welcoming 2024 with a 3-Day Break

To commence the new year, January 1, 2024, is a Monday and designated as a paid holiday. With the Saturday-Sunday weekend, individuals can enjoy a well-deserved three-day break to start 2024.

Celebrating UAE’s 52nd Year

Celebrated on December 2 annually, the National Day, also known as UAE Union Day, marks the unification of the Emirates in 1971. As the UAE turns 52 this year, Expo City Dubai is set to host the official Union Day show, highlighting the country’s sustainability journey.
