Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked his UAE counterpart Mohamed bin Zayed on Friday China’s mediation on prisoner swap and other humanitarian issues between Russia and Ukraine.
“I want to thank you for your efforts to address the humanitarian issues related to events in Ukraine,” Putin told a meeting on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which the Emirati leader attended as a guest of honor.
The Kremlin chief assured that the UAE is a “good and comfortable” partner for Russia and that relations between the two countries have developed “quite successfully”.
For his part, bin Zayed assured that his country is ready to do what is necessary to provide “stabilizing the situation” In Ukraine and help with humanitarian problems.
