Queen Elizabeth dies of old age | Entertainment

Queen Elizabeth died of old age.

The British monarch died on September 8 at the age of 96, and her death certificate has now been released, listing only “old age” as the cause of death.

Although news of the Queen’s death was not announced until around 6.30pm, Scottish national records signed by the Queen’s daughter Princess Anne show she actually died at 3.10pm.

That meant some of the Queen’s relatives, including her sons Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, daughter-in-law Sophie, the Countess of Wessex and Prince William, were still travelling to her Balmoral estate in Scotland at the time of her death.

A private jet carrying the group of four took off from RAF Northolt at 2.39pm and landed in Aberdeen, about an hour’s drive from the estate, at 3.50pm.

A few hours later, William’s younger brother, Prince Harry, arrived on a separate flight.

In addition to Anne, the Queen’s son, the new King Charles, was by her mother’s side when she died.

Over the weekend, Buckingham Palace released a photo of the Queen’s final resting place.

The monarch was buried on September 19 at the King George VI Memorial Chapel at Windsor Castle, where a stone tablet bears her name alongside her parents, Queen Elizabeth’s mother, King George VI and her family. Her late husband, Prince Philip.

Alongside the photo, a post on the royal family’s Twitter read: “An account stone has been installed at the King George VI Memorial Chapel following the burial of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

“The King George VI Memorial Chapel sits within the walls of St George’s Chapel in Windsor.”

The ledger also includes the name and date of birth of each member of the royal family.

Buckingham Palace previously confirmed that the late monarch was buried with Prince Philip, who died in April 2021 at the age of 99.

“The Queen is buried with the Duke of Edinburgh at King George VI Memorial Chapel,” reads a statement on the royal family’s website.
