R Sridhar joins Capri Global as team director

UAE T20 League: The International League T20 will debut in January 2023. However, the tournament has begun to take shape as team owners begin recruiting staff. Renowned coach Tom Moody has been hired by Lancer Capital as their director of cricket.

The Glazer family, who also own famous European football teams Manchester United, is the owner of the capital.Moody’s in the same role at Sunrisers Hyderabad Indian Premier League and Sri Lankan cricket. Still, it goes without saying that the veteran is an expert in his field.

The 56-year-old former Australian all-rounder has played for a number of domestic teams. This includes positions as coaches, consultants and directors in England, Canada and the West Indies.

Additionally, he will be responsible for creating a brand new team for Lancer Capitals. The Capitals will be one of six different teams vying for the UAE T20 league title.

UAE T20 League: R Sridhar becomes Team Director of Capri Global

UAE T20 League: As director of cricket, former India fielding coach R Sridhar has been hired by Capri Global. They are another investor in the UAE T20 league. Rajesh Sharma, an Indian businessman with links to India, is also the owner. Sharma recently purchased the Rajasthan team for the upcoming Ultimate Kho Kho (UKK) event.

In 2014, Sridhar became part of the staff of Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). He then became the head coach of the cricket team representing Andhra Pradesh.

The UAE Cricket Board (ECB) launched the UAE T20 league last month. The competition runs from January 6 to February 12, with a total of six teams participating. In addition, 34 games will be played as planned.

Notably, the three teams will be owned by the Indian Premier League owners. The name of the team has not been selected. Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Cavaliers and Delhi Capitals are the three parent teams in question.

Reliance Industries has five-time champion Mumbai Indians. Meanwhile, Shahrukh Khan and GMR own the Kolkata Cavaliers and Delhi Capitals respectively.

The Abu Dhabi franchise has been acquired by Knights of Calcutta. Meanwhile, GMR in the Delhi capital has been linked with the Dubai franchise. There are also two other Indian companies on the board. They are the Adani Group and the Capri Group, neither of which has a franchise agreement in principle.

Adani Group is one of the richest companies in Asia. The great Zimbabwean cricketer Andy Flower is now seeking a new role as director of cricket for the new team. Other teams have the same goal of starting to gradually develop their teams. In addition to the draft approach, each team is eligible to sign five players.
