Raffles The Palm Dubai, the UAE’s leading dining destination, has appointed Chef Sebastien Bernis as Executive Pastry Chef.
With over 20 years of culinary experience, Chef Sebastien gained experience in France’s best restaurants before pursuing a career abroad. After qualifying as a specialist pastry maker in Souillac in the South of France, Chef Sebastien continued to perfect his training at Michelin-starred restaurants Grand Véfour and Hôtel de Crillon before embarking on a tour around the world.
After working successfully with prestigious luxury resorts and boutique hotels in the Caribbean, Polynesia, Oman, Egypt, Seychelles and Maldives, he moved to Dubai to continue building his international portfolio and taking on the role of Executive Pastry Chef at One&Only Dubai Reethi Rah, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
Prior to his current position, Chef Sebastien worked for 10 years as Executive Pastry Chef at Mandarin Oriental, Macau, China. Chef Sebastien has long flourished there, performing well as leader of the pastry kitchen, contributing to the hotel’s Forbes Five-Star honor for four consecutive years from 2019 to 2022. – trade arab news agency
