Rain in parts of UAE, warning issued until next week – News

Meteorological center advises people to stay away from flash floods and accumulated rain

Light to moderate rain fell across the UAE on Saturday, with the weather agency warning of low pressure and rain to continue until Wednesday.

The National Meteorological Center advised residents to take precautions in case of rain in the eastern, northern and coastal areas of the country. It also asked people to stay away from areas with flash floods and accumulated rain.

The country will be affected by unsettled weather with rain convective clouds of varying intensities, accompanied by thunder and lightning. The center also said residents will experience a drop in temperatures.

Parts of Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Sharjah and Dubai received light to moderate rain on Saturday, leading to flooding in some areas.
