The city’s municipality issued an alert as erratic weather hit the country
All parks in the city of Sharjah will be temporarily closed due to unstable weather, the city government announced on Saturday.
“After the unsettled weather has ended, the park will reopen to the public,” authorities said in an announcement.
Residents across the UAE woke up to rain showers on Saturday morning. The rain is getting heavier in the emirate, with dark clouds looming. Traffic in Dubai and Sharjah slowed down as motorists slowed down due to reduced visibility.
