Rain in UAE until Tuesday: NCM

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the UAE will see some cumulus clouds accompanied by rain in different parts of the country between Saturday and Tuesday.

The NCM said Saturday is expected to be partly cloudy and dusty during the day, with possible cumulus clouds and rain in the east in the afternoon.

The agency added that the evening and Sunday morning will be wet in some western coastal areas.

Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will turn active and churning sand at 15-25km/h and up to 40km/h during the day, while the Arabian Gulf and Sea of ​​Oman will have regular to moderate swells.

It said Sunday’s weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy with the possibility of some cumulus clouds, particularly in some eastern and western areas. Slight to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow and sometimes become active stirring up the sand at times and the sea will have moderate swells but the swells in the Arabian Gulf compared to regular to moderate waves in the Sea of ​​Oman become turbulent.

The NCM said Monday’s weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy with possible rain in different parts of the country.

It added that the southeasterly and northeasterly winds will be light to moderate from southeast to northeasterly, sometimes turning into strong winds and stirring up the sand, while seas will be moderately swell, but in line with regular to moderate waves in the Sea of ​​Oman. Than the Arabian Gulf could get rough. .

Tuesday is expected to be cloudy to partly cloudy with possible rain in parts of the east and north.

Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, sometimes becoming active, while swells will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and regular in the Sea of ​​Oman.

Rain and hailstorms of varying intensities occurred in different parts of the country last week.

Light to moderate to heavy rain, accompanied by hail, was seen in various areas across the UAE including Mukhairez in Al Dhafra region; Dibba and Al Bidya in Fujairah; Shaml, Al Nakheel and Al Ras Al Khaimah; Dhait; the industrial areas of Umm Al Quwain and Al Maqtaa; Al Aweer and Al Warqa in Dubai; Al Dhaid, Mleiha, Al Batayeh, Al Hamriya and Dibba Al Hisn in Sharjah; Mushairef and A in Ajman and other independent areas​ ​l Jurf.

Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah recorded a minimum temperature of 11.6°C at 3.45am local time in the UAE.
