Dar Al Ber Society recently organized a special iftar for determined kids and their families to spread joy and raise awareness about social inclusion.
More than 250 people attended this special evening. Interacted with prominent guests including Emirati social media personality Khalid Al Ameri and his wife Salama Mohammed. Sons of Determination took the opportunity to take a selfie with the celebrity couple and their children.
Children also received special gifts such as personal hygiene products, toys, chocolates, groceries and more.
Another purpose of the special Eid, according to the Dar Al Ber Society, is to shed light on the issues faced by children of determination and their families. “Guests are committed to taking further steps to help determined children and their families.”
Juhi Yasmeen Khan from Dar Al Ber Society said: “We organized this event because it has always been important for society to understand people of determination. Every child of determination has at least one unique talent that needs to be identified and nurtured, This will help them become part of mainstream society.”
In addition to the special iftar, there are general medical and dental checks on site, as well as henna decorations and games.
