The United Arab Emirates has said it will no longer issue visas to Nigeria and 20 other African countries, although it did not say the reason for the ban.

Shodary further stated that many Nigerians have no legal means of earning a living, noting that each country reviews its immigration and visa policies to ensure their own safety.
“What they have done before is have very strict restrictions on the arrival of so many Nigerians. They restrict people under 40 and unmarried from not even bothering to come to the UAE unless you are legally doing business in that country or have a resident permit to Indicate in which country you are engaged.
“We do not blame the UAE for making decisions that they believe will help their country. The UAE has done nothing wrong with us.”
Meanwhile, the president of the Nigerian Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Alex Nwuba, expressed his belief that Nigeria owns far more than the UAE.
However, he questioned the Nigerian government why Nigeria, despite being the center of the planet, cannot be as developed as the UAE, adding that the focus should not be on the ban as there are too many other destinations to go to.
“I’m one of those people who believes what’s in the UAE? That’s not in Nigeria, if not? Why can’t we get it? The reason we can’t is because we haven’t dealt with the fundamentals.
“About 20 years ago, the UAE was a desert, and the government had a policy of letting us create an emirate that would bring everyone to the UAE as a hub.
