The skies over Abu Dhabi were painted red, white and blue on Tuesday afternoon as the famous red arrow Roaring overhead.
The team as the British Royal Air Force Aerobatic Teamawe-struck crowds gathered outside the Rixos Marina Hotel and Resort in Abu Dhabi.
Spectators watched a spectacular aerobatic display as six aircraft performed a series of intimidating maneuvers such as detonators, pythons, blowbacks and crossbows.

“We are here today to strengthen and celebrate the special relationship between the UAE and the UK,” he said.
“This is part of a wider tour of the GCC where we will be flying over different countries in the region over the next five weeks.”
While the showcase was successful, it was not without its challenges, as Wg Cdr Montenegro explained.
“The hotel is about 450 feet tall, which is impressive, but it’s huge as a central point for the flying display, which makes it a very unique mission,” he said.
“All the drills you see today took about four to five months to perfect. They each practiced at least about 50 times.”
Red Arrows pilots are no strangers to the UAE, having performed a critically acclaimed flyover over Expo 2020 Dubai just last year.
Wg Cdr Montenegro has not forgotten how familiar the group is with the UAE.
“We’re used to the Dubai Airshow because we’ve been there many times,” he said.
“We come here quite often and in some ways it feels like coming home because we’re used to the skies here.
“We always have such a warm reception here.”
Abu Dhabi isn’t their only stop in the UAE. Red Arrows hosted a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) workshop for students of Heriot-Watt University in Dubai on Monday afternoon.
“Encouraging young people to learn more about STEM subjects and what can be achieved as a team is at the heart of the Red Arrows’ aim,” said RAF Aerobatic Team Captain Tom Boulder.
“This fantastic conference in Dubai was a great way to showcase STEM practices, highlighting how these themes are applied across the Red Arrows’ work and using aviation to encourage more people to discover their future careers.”
It was also confirmed that the Emirates A380 will fly with the team in dubai Thursday.
