The next Dubai Association Conference will be held on February 21, 2022, and registration is now open to the international association community. The event will be held at the Dubai Exhibition Center in the venue of Expo 2020 Dubai. The speakers and participants will have a strong lineup of leaders from the global association sector and Dubai’s public and private sectors.
Under the theme of “Association and the New World: Resilience and Reshaping”, the third conference will provide a platform to explore how associations can adapt to the professions and industries they serve not only in the aftermath and direct impact of the global pandemic. The conference will again be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Committee.

Continuing the tradition of the previous two sessions, the event will feature the founders of the Dubai Association Center (DAC): His Excellency Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism and His Excellency Hamad Buamim, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Other sessions on the agenda will explore themes and topics, including design thinking, decision-making priorities, innovation, diversity, and income.
International speakers who brought international insights and expertise include: Michelle I. Mason, Chairman and CEO of the American Association of Executives; Marjorie Anderson, founder of the Association’s community; Jason Thompson, professional thinker, writer and speaker; Marc Mekki, digital innovator and user experience and design thinking expert; and Bo Kruger, owner, Moving Minds.
The leaders of the Global Association also included special speakers: Alessandro Jacques Cortese, CEO of the European Society of Radiotherapy and Oncology; Dianna Steinbach, ISSA-Global Clean Industry Association Vice President of Corporate Development; and Magdalena NowickaMook, CEO of the International Coach Federation.

After the conference, the delegates will get a full-day immersive visit to Expo 2020 Dubai, experience the theme pavilions and national pavilions, participate in celebrations, and taste the culture and cuisine from all over the world.
Prior to the main conference, a series of three interactive online conferences were held this year to explore the key themes of the event and provide opportunities to ensure that the agenda addresses key issues and topics that delegates may wish to explore. The last meeting was held on December 7.
The conference is the flagship event of the Dubai Association Center (DAC), which was established in 2014 to support and permit regional and international associations to set up offices or chapters in Dubai. DAC opened a state-of-the-art office in DWTC’s One Central in December 2019, providing a collaborative environment for registered associations.
The previous Dubai Association conferences discussed the key themes and priorities of the industry, attracted experts from all over the world, and laid the foundation for the city’s status as the center of the association. The first event in 2017 successfully established a conference with the theme “Building a Community”, while the second conference in 2019 set up an eye-catching project around the theme of “Promoting Change: The Social Impact of Associations”.
