Renew UAE visa in Abu Dhabi? Here’s everything you need to know about the updated medical screening process

[ad_1]

Dubai: If you are issuing a new residence visa or renewing your current visa, a medical examination is mandatory. Previously, in Abu Dhabi, residents had to go to the Disease Prevention and Screening Centre (DPSC) in person and wait for an assigned appointment.

However, on 1 August, Abu Dhabi health services company SEHA announced the launch of a new mobile app “SEHA Visa Screening” for Apple and Android devices. So now you need to make a medical appointment through the app before visiting the center.

So, if your visa is about to be renewed in Abu Dhabi, or you are becoming a resident, here is everything you need to know.

How to Book a Medical Checkup in Abu Dhabi

Step 1: Make sure you have an Al Hosn Green Pass

According to SEHA, to go to DPSC for medical screening, all vaccinated visitors must present Green Pass on the Al Hosn app. However, if you have not been vaccinated, you must show a negative PCR result within the past 96 hours.

Step 2: Download the app and book an appointment

1. Download the app from Google Play Store or IOS Store.

2. Go to the homepage and click “Apply for Appointment”

3. You will then be asked to register the app.

4. To do this, you must log in with your Emirates Pass account (link).

5. Once logged in, go to the home page and click “Request Appointment” again.

6. Select the location of your medical appointment, i.e. your region: Abu Dhabi City, Al Ain or Al Dafra.

7. Then, select the DPSC center closest to you.

8. Next, select whether this is an individual screening or a group screening.

9. Enter your mobile number (this will be filled in automatically by your Emirates Pass account).

10. Select your “Preferred SMS Language” – English or Arabic

11. Enter your Emirates ID number and date of birth. Then, click the button titled “Get Details”.

12. After clicking this button, your full name, sponsor name and profile number will be automatically filled in based on the information provided.

13. Then, click Next.

14. The app will give you a reference number.

15. Select the date and preferred time for which you would like to take the fitness test from the available time slots.

16. Review and confirm your appointment details.

17. Pay for the medical examination online, or choose to pay at the center.
