When it comes to Ye, his team is quick to put out a statement clearing the Chicago native’s name. Today his team is once again clearing the air and shutting down all claims of him partnering with David Sabastian, the founder of Skid Row Fashion Week. Earlier today, TMZ reported that the rapper and Sebastian would collaborate and have homeless people model. Ye’s team said “Aht Aht” and released a statement via The New York Post stating no such project is underway.
The statement read, “Ye has a deep and solution-oriented commitment to addressing issues surrounding homelessness,” says a Yeezy GAP spokesperson. “But this reported event is not on our schedule at this time, nor are we aware of any product collaboration in development.” While folks weren’t happy about the news, fans still have other things to be excited for from Ye. After dropping his tenth studio album ‘DONDA’ last August, today, he confirmed that ‘DONDA 2’ is underway.
As we previously reported, the album drops on February 22nd, and music executive Steven Victor told Complex, “Ye has started working on his new masterpiece Donda 2.” He added, “Listen, [Donda 2 is] coming sooner than you think. The procession is starting, and it’s not stopping.” Outside of ‘DONDA 2’, all eyes have been on him and his new boo Julia Fox. The actress has dubbed them “Juliye.”
Earlier this week, the pair were spotted at the Schiaparelli Haute Couture summer/spring 2022 fashion show in Paris. Ye has been putting a lot of energy into Julia, and she even showed off a picture of him doing her makeup, calling him her favorite makeup artist. Roommates, what do you think of Ye’s team calling cap on the collaboration?
