Announced on August 3 Fully vaccinated UAE residents stranded in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria and Uganda are allowed to return to the UAE from August 5th. Now revealed Dubai residents returning from restricted countries must obtain GDRFA approval.

If you are a Dubai residence visa holder returning to Dubai from a restricted country, you need to apply for approval from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA). All other UAE residence visa holders do not need to apply.

Please note that the form is used “Dubai Resident Visa Holder” if only. Residents of Dubai from the following restricted countries require GDRFA approval forms: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria, and Uganda.

  3. Enter your departure country and destination port (Dubai International Airport DXB)
  4. Enter your email address
  5. Upload a copy of your documents-visa, passport and UAE ID
  6. It will take you to the payment page, but don’t panic because it is classified as “free”
  7. Submit your application
  8. Your application will be marked as “processing” and you will receive an email
