Abu Dhabi: Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan talks with Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah The phone call, expressing the UAE’s welcome to Riyadh and Tehran as the two countries agreed to restore diplomatic relations.

He also stressed that the UAE believes in the importance of working to strengthen the principles of good-neighborly friendship and supporting constructive dialogue, which contributes to the development of the region and promotes tolerance and coexistence among its peoples.
The UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation praised the role played by the People’s Republic of China and its efforts to restore diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran, emphasizing the deep historical ties and comprehensive strategic partnership between the UAE and China, as well as China’s relationship with all maritime Excellent relations among the Federation countries.
Sheikh Abdullah also highlighted the strength of the brotherly and long-standing relationship between the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wishing the Saudi leadership, government and people continuous progress, stability and prosperity.
Earlier in the day, Sheikh Abdullah stressed that Saudi Arabia’s renewed relationship with Iran was a crucial step towards regional stability and prosperity. “The restoration of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran is a critical step towards regional stability and prosperity,” Sheikh Abdullah tweeted.
On Friday, the UAE welcomed the agreement between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of active communication and dialogue between countries in the region to promote good-neighborliness.
Dr Anwar Gargash, diplomatic adviser to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, praised China’s role in this regard.
The agreement, which included the reopening of embassies and the exchange of ambassadors within two months, came after talks in Beijing from March 6 to 10.
Chinese President Xi Jinping took the initiative to host and sponsor talks between representatives of Iran and Saudi Arabia to resolve disputes through dialogue and diplomacy.
