Rihanna, 34, has a 9-month-old son with rapper A$AP Rocky.
In a media preview on Thursday, rihanna Said she was initially unsure about taking on the challenge of acting in her three months postpartum, and wondered “Should I make such a big decision now? I might regret it.”
“But when you become a mom, something happens that makes you feel like you can challenge the world, that you can do anything,” Rihanna said. “The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world. As scary as it was because I hadn’t been on stage in seven years, there was something exhilarating about the challenge of it all.”
Rihanna said she had to figure out how to fit some of her greatest songs into her 13-minute track.
“The playlist was the biggest challenge,” she said. “That’s the hardest, hardest part. Deciding how to get the most out of 13 minutes and also celebrate – that’s what this show is about. It’s going to be a celebration of my catalog in the best way we can Put it together.”
A nine-time Grammy Award winner, Rihanna has 14 Billboard Hot 100 hits, including “We Found Love,” “Work,” “Umbrella” and “Disturbia.”
