Roadshow from India to visit Abu Dhabi highlights unique travel deals offered by emirate to potential partners

The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) recently concluded its Visit Abu Dhabi roadshow in India with 28 stakeholders from the UAE capital including major airlines, cruise ships, hotels, attractions and DMC. More than 800 travel industry representatives participated in the roadshow at six events in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore to learn about the unique and diverse experiences Abu Dhabi offers Indian travelers, while paving the way for long-term partnerships in the industry flat road.

The successful event showcased the UAE as a leading travel destination for leisure, business and incentive travel through briefings, demos and presentations of fragrance-making cultural experiences. This was followed by exclusive networking dinners attended by key industry professionals and buyers at The Oberoi (New Delhi), ITC Gardenia, The Luxury Collection Hotel (Bangalore) and Four Seasons Hotel (Mumbai).

During the week-long programme of events, DCT Abu Dhabi showcased key destination highlights to help industry professionals familiarise themselves with the many exciting experiences the destination has to offer, including Abu Dhabi’s leading leisure and entertainment destination, Asia Isle of Man, which is home to award-winning theme parks such as Ferrari world Abu Dhabi. DCT Abu Dhabi stakeholders also spoke with key partners about the timeline of new developments and exciting events to be held in the UAE capital, including the premiere of the Broadway musical The Lion King, UAE premiere An NBA game, UFC 281, and a performance by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman as part of Diwali festivities.

Organised by Abu Dhabi DCT and Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau (ADCEB) in partnership with Experience Hub, the event will now be held annually, reflecting the importance of the Indian market to Abu Dhabi’s inbound tourism strategy.

India has always been one of the UAE’s largest overseas markets and one of Abu Dhabi’s largest MICE tourist source markets. Our visit this month is to support our valued stakeholders, raise awareness of the destination, meet with our target businesses and leading MICE agencies, and introduce our enhanced Advantage Abu Dhabi conference and awards programme as well as our new MICE Institutional Rewards Program, which is designed to achieve our continued excellence in the region.
