exclusive: Rob Morgan (Smile) will produce and star in crime movies Dixie Crystalbased on the real-life FBI operation of the same name, from brothers filmmakers Connor and Jack Allin (no man’s land).

But the deeper the investigation, the more Jim realizes that the drugs he’s chasing, and the miners who are cooking them, are the only things that keep the community alive. In this county, meth is the new coal.
Dixie Crystal Developed and packaged by Stride Management on behalf of Morgan and Jake Allyn. Connor Allin Will come directly from the script by Jake Allyn. Morgan will produce with the Allyn Brothers’ Margate House Films (no man’s land, edge of the world) and Riverside Entertainment’s Brian Loschiavo, Pastor Alvarado and Jeff Molyneaux (manor, bluebird), he will also work with Matt Shelton, Josh Peters (lighthouse) and executive producer Tony Herbert.
The film is set to shoot in West Virginia and Kentucky in April 2023 and is in partnership with Brook House, an all-female rehab center run by former drug enforcement officer Kevin Simmers , which provides participants with a field job skills program.
“Drugs and our war on drugs have become a pervasive part of American culture,” Conor Allyn told Deadline. “Rob is the perfect combination of strength and humanity that embodies this conflict.”
Morgan recently appeared in a Paramount horror film Smile and has also appeared in films including Oscar nominations muddy and don’t look up,and many more. Notable TV shows include HBO Title Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty and Netflix Stranger Things. Lee Daniels’ horror thriller also makes an appearance for the cast save For Netflix.
