Explain the background of you and the company in detail.

My background in Freight & Logistics 3PL, Contract Logistics started in the Netherlands in a tank container company. Eventually, it brought me to the UAE, where I now have my own Logistics Consultancy firm in Abu Dhabi.

With my 20+ years of experience and more than a decade here in the Middle East, I founded RV Consultancy, where we help, assist and support other companies (local or international) to a higher level through experience, knowledge, network, and skillset.

We also provide Management Consulting where we help companies excel in Sales, KPIs, C-Management training, and many more.

What are your goals?

My goals are to have a good and balanced work/living situation where I can spend time with my family while enjoying the work I’m doing.

What do you feel is the biggest strength of yourself/company right now?

My biggest strength is my consistency, determination, and quality in what I’m doing/providing.

There are a handful of logistics Consultant companies in Abu Dhabi with deep knowledge of the market, and I believe we are one of them.

What was the path you/your company took to get to where you are today?

I started the company during COVID facing many challenges. However, I believe determination and adaptability are the keys to success. You need to be flexible to changes. Always believe in yourself, don’t let others put you down! This is my credo.

Not a day has gone by that I have regretted this decision, and I definitely encourage it and don’t be afraid to ask for help or guidance.

Why did you start this company?

I noticed some needs during the COVID where many companies were facing challenges in managing their Supply Chain efficiently.

What have been the biggest challenges you’ve had to overcome?

Not getting projects at first due to various reasons (e.g. being too costly, not the right partners, etc.) and if you win projects, getting paid on time, which is a well-known issue in the UAE.

Consistency

What makes you excited about Mondays?

New start of the workweek with new challenges and new beginnings.

What do you value most about your culture and vision?

We have our flexibility and directness and know where we want to go to/be.

Tell us about a project that forced you to be innovative and creative.

Due to COVID restrictions, we needed to be very reactive by finding different routes. Border challenges were a common issue, as well as Port congestion in many countries.

What are the strategies of your company, and how do they stand unique from your competitors?

Being present and available to listen to the client’s needs and understand the issues they are facing. Provide them with the best support and solutions possible and, moreover, follow up with the clients.

What are the key values that helped you overcome the roadblocks/challenges in your career? Tell us something about your memorable incident in your leadership?

Being consistent with what I do, persuasive, and never giving up.

A memorable event is the creation of RV Consultancy and where it stands today with the support and trust of the clients and family.

How do you see the company changing in two years, and how do you see yourself creating that change?

Growing RV Consultancy by increasing my clientele portfolio locally and as well internationally

What are the services/solutions or products offered by your company on par with the current industry standards? Tell us something about your upcoming products or services?

I provide logistics solutions through my network, skillset, and knowledge that I have acquired over the years. This includes Freight Logistics Solutions, Land transportation, Contract Logistics & Warehousing Solutions and Management Training.
