The festival will be held in the heart of Royal Oak from June 30th to July 4th. A limited number of tickets will be sold each day, a move organizers say is an effort to improve the experience for attendees.
Guests can look forward to more than 50 Mexican fast food restaurants, taco trucks and other restaurants, as well as a Lucha Libre wrestling match, competitions including a hot sauce challenge and timed taco eating contest, tequila tasting, dog pageant, ax throwing , artisan vendors, water game children’s area and so on.

Some of the announced restaurants include Torta Express, Que Pasa Taqueria, Los Dos Amigos Taco Truck and Whiskey Taco Foxtrot.
“The inaugural Royal Oak Taco Fest was a huge success, drawing people from all over Metro Detroit,” said event producer Jon Witz. “This year’s Royal Oak Taco Fest will be bigger and better, and we anticipate that the changes we’ve made to meet the demand we saw at last year’s event will result in an even better experience for attendees. So, get your tickets early.”
