Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said the nol card can now be used to pay for fares on the Palm Monorail owned by Nakheel, one of the largest real estate developers not only in the MENA region.
Mohammed Yousef Al Mudharreb, CEO of Enterprise Technical Support Services, confirmed that residents, tourists and tourists of The Palm can now use a Gold, Silver or Blue card to pay for their daily trips on the Palm Monorail.
“This initiative supports efforts to integrate the public transport network and provide a seamless travel experience for passengers across Dubai. It is also in line with the nol digital strategy, which aims to expand all services, products of the nol card to external partners in the public and private sectors. and use in solutions,” he commented.
“It also enhances the experience of nol card users by offering multiple services through a single card. This move facilitates public transport connectivity and serves Dubai’s transport network, which contributes to the first mile and Last-mile strategy. This move adds to RTA’s strategy to expand engagement with the private sector in accordance with the highest global standards and practices.
Al Mudharreb added: “Prior to launching the initiative, an agreement was signed to expand the collaboration between RTA and Nakheel during the UITP MENA Congress and Exhibition in February 2022.”
nol is a smart card that allows users to pay fares for various RTA modes of transport with a single tap. Used to pay fares for marine transport such as subways, buses, trams, water taxis, water buses, and public car parks in the RTA. In addition to shopping at various outlets in Dubai and the UAE, the nol card can also be used to pay for admission to Dubai City Parks and the Etihad Museum. – arab trade news agency
