RTA awards taxi drivers and limousine drivers the “Road to Dubai” badge-News

Dubai-Taxi drivers and limousine drivers will now put the “Dubai Way” badge on their uniforms during working hours.

The Dubai Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) awarded 250 taxi drivers and limousine drivers from various franchise companies, who passed the Dubai Way training course organized by the Dubai Tourism Academy of the Ministry of Tourism and Commercial Marketing of Dubai.

Taxi drivers and limousine drivers received the Dubai Road badge, indicating that they have become advocates of Dubai Road. They will stick this badge on their uniforms during working hours.

“Road to Dubai is an important measure to strengthen the relationship between the RTA and the Dubai Tourism Authority. It plays a key role in supporting and improving the performance of taxi drivers and limousine drivers in the emirate. The taxi industry is a core element in the use of tourism. Mohammed Ali Al Awadi, head of driver affairs at one of the RTA public transport agencies, said in a statement that this vibrant city welcomes tourists and tourists from all over the world.

In explaining the initiative, Al Awadi revealed that these taxi drivers and limousine drivers have received training on Dubai’s history, the city’s cultural landmarks, and the etiquette and communication skills of dealing with tourists and tourists visiting Dubai.

“Taxi drivers and limousines in the Dubai Way program have received training, with a focus on imparting knowledge about the history, cultural landmarks and public laws of the emirate. They are also familiar with the calendar of annual national events and celebrations and suitable for Dubai tourists And the standards of customer service and well-being of tourists,” Al Awadi explained.

“The training aims to improve the oral skills of taxi drivers and limousine drivers in dealing with Dubai tourists, such as body language, use of correct expressions and etiquette, in line with the noble status of Dubai and the UAE. The Dubai Way initiative is essential for rentals For car drivers and limousine drivers, they pretend to be RTA ambassadors and deal directly with the public. Their attitude can have a positive impact on tourists, tourists and residents of Dubai,” he added.

The Dubai Way program was launched in 2017 by the Dubai Tourism Academy, an affiliate of the Dubai Tourism Authority, to improve the performance of the tourism industry by improving personal skills in dealing directly with Dubai tourists and tourists.

Dubai Way is a training and participation platform for anyone who interacts with tourists at work in Dubai.

Earlier this month, 638 taxis had the driver’s name instead of the yellow “TAXI” sign. This is how the RTA recognizes and commends taxi drivers who keep the city running during the peak of the pandemic. The initiative was announced in April this year.
