In a video address, Zelensky said unnamed countries and companies were helping Russia acquire technology, with a focus on producing missiles. Since October last year, Russia has fired hundreds of missiles at Ukrainian targets.

“Unfortunately, terrorist states manage to use the world’s technology through a network of suppliers, manage to bypass international sanctions,” Zelensky said.

Zelensky added that Ukraine was well aware of all Russia’s efforts to evade sanctions and would work to ensure that “there are no products of the free world in Russian missiles.”

In April, a top Zelensky aide said the Ukrainian military was finding more and more components from China in Russian weapons used in Ukraine as Western supplies were squeezed by sanctions. China denies sending military equipment to Russia.
