Samsung Group donates AED5 million to UAE’s ‘1 Billion Meals’ campaign

DUBAI: Dubai-based logistics company Samsung Group has donated D5 million to the ‘1 Billion Meal Donation’ campaign launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Ram, meanwhile to Ramadan, aims to start a sustainable food aid endowment fund.

The campaign aims to provide a food safety net for vulnerable groups and implement sustainable solutions under a comprehensive, targeted plan to fight hunger, limit its impact and support vulnerable groups around the world.

Through this donation, the Samsung Group, together with numerous institutions, businesses and individuals supporting the movement, is helping to achieve its goal of providing food aid to vulnerable groups around the world, especially children, displaced persons, refugees and victims of crises and natural disasters.
