Samsung Neo QLED 4K QN95B review: An excellent TV for 4K entertainment, gaming

[ad_1]

Samsung’s line of QLED TVs is the flagship line of smart TVs. While those prices are higher, Samsung’s QLED TVs typically combine the best display technology with custom software and hardware to give buyers the ultimate TV experience. The new Q95B, which Samsung sent us for review, is one of the newer models in the series, thinner and better than its predecessor. We decided to try out the 55-inch model in the range, and here are our thoughts after using the TV for nearly a month.

Samsung Neo QLED QN95B: What’s so good?

The beauty of the Samsung Neo QLED QN95B starts with the design. It’s almost a full-screen experience with very thin bezels. From every angle, the TV has a stylish look and feel. This makes it look flat when mounted on a wall, and even on a tabletop, the Infinity One Design stand makes the TV appear to be floating in the air.

The body of the TV itself has no bulky back or ports.instead what do you have Samsung Called the OneConnect box, it’s a small separate box that can be mounted on the back of a stand (in tabletop mode), or next to a set-top box/game console or other accessory when the TV is wall-mounted. This keeps all cable clutter away from the back or sides of the TV. This implementation allows for a cleaner look while making cable switching easier, and is especially useful when wall-mounted.

Samsung also has a SolarCell remote that doesn’t require batteries and can be charged using indoor lighting, though it still has a USB-C port on the bottom, which we’re guessing is for emergencies. Thankfully, we never had to use it. There are also dedicated keys for popular OTT destinations such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar and Samsung’s own TV Plus app.

The display is fantastic. It can get really bright when you need it, with punchy colors and a host of software-based adjustments that let you tweak the picture output to your liking. No complaints here. It’s also a mini-LED TV, which offers better contrast, which you’ll notice almost immediately.

Plus there are features like 144Hz VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support, which makes the TV ideal for gaming alongside your PC or console. There are also features like Samsung TV Plus, which gives you free access to a growing list of live TV channels, requires only a WiFi connection and requires no additional sign-ups or subscriptions, and a multi-view mode that lets you watch two at the same time Video outputs. While I haven’t used them very often, it’s good to have a ton of use cases for you given the price of this TV.

There are plenty of options for sound, too, with a multi-directional sound output on the back of the TV to give it a sense of direction when you’re watching supported content. There are also some neat features that allow you to take it to another level. For example, if you have a Q-series soundbar that goes with your TV, you can actually combine the built-in speakers and the soundbar for a more synchronized, richer experience if you’re part of the Samsung ecosystem. clerk, that’s very good.

Samsung Neo QLED QN95B: What’s so bad?

There’s not much wrong with the premium experience the Samsung QN95B offers. However, there is a learning curve here, especially if you come from many other androidBased on smart TV. Since Samsung uses its own operating system and has a different user interface than Android, you might initially struggle to find things like the App Store, or move your favorite app icons around on the home screen.

Finding and installing new apps is, in my opinion, a more tedious process than the standard Android TV experience. My parents are not very tech-savvy and it took them more time than usual to get used to some things here. However, none of these are deal breakers and it shouldn’t be a matter of when.

Conclusion: Is the Samsung Neo QLED QN95B right for you?

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room – the Rs 2,54,900 Samsung Neo QLED QN95B is not for everyone. The market for 4K TVs starts well below Rs 1 lakh these days, and even if you’re looking for something with a high refresh rate and other features, options like the TCL C825 are less than half that behemoth.

samsung, samsung tv reviews, samsung qled reviews, The TV is also equipped with a mini-LED panel that offers an excellent contrast ratio almost on par with OLED TVs. (Express photo)

However, what the Samsung QLED range offers is what it does best in the segment, and that is the overall experience. From the great display to the variety of features in the software, from the battery-free remote to the attention to aesthetics and connectivity, the QN95B trumps just about every area. You also get Samsung’s trusted reputation and service, like a burn-in-free screen for 10 years from the date of purchase.

I’d say the Samsung QN95B QLED 4K TV is for those looking for a long-term, premium, no-compromise investment for the extra money. It’s an even better deal if you can actually take advantage of the features available here, such as pairing the TV with the console, using a Samsung smartphone with multi-view, and more. If those use cases fit your needs, this is one of the best options considering the price. If you want something bigger than 55 inches, there’s also a 65-inch variant priced at Rs 3,49,900.
