Sandra Oh ‘proudly represented’ Canada at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.
The Commonwealth-born “Killing Eve” actress attended the Queen’s state funeral on Monday (09/19/22) as part of a procession.
National honours at Westminster Abbey in London and appeared alongside Canadian singer Gregory Charles and Olympic swimmer Mark Tewkesbury.
Sharing a photo of her from the day, Sandra wrote: “Proud to represent CA and my Canadian Medal of Valor recipient @gregorycharlesofficiel @marktewks @palmerlp26 at the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey today,
“Thanks @karenclarkson @tahira_makeup @stefanbertin.”
The Queen was buried in Windsor on Monday night.
Meanwhile, after star Sandra, 51, was awarded the Order of Canada on the BBC drama “Killing Eve” with Jodie Comer, her country’s prime minister, Justin Justin Trudeau and his wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, also attended the funeral, as were a number of current and former governors and leaders.
The Order of Canada – established by the late monarch in 1967 – recognizes outstanding achievement, dedication to community and general service to the country in all areas of society.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” actress was recognized for her “art career with memorable stage, TV and film roles in Canada and abroad.”
Justin Trudeau, whose father Pierre is also the Prime Minister of Canada, paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth as he addressed Canada’s House of Commons before the funeral.
He said: “I first met her in 1977 when I was a little boy.
“Nearly 40 years later, in 2015, when I met her as prime minister, I joked that the last time we met, she was taller than me – she joked that I made her feel old.
“Her sense of humor is one of her many great qualities and one of the many reasons she’s one of my favorites
