Sarah Michelle Gellar is determined to create a “safety net” for the cast and crew of “Wolves.”
The 45-year-old actress insisted on being an executive producer on the supernatural teen drama because she wanted to give the cast and crew as much support as possible.
The Hollywood star – best known for playing Buffy Summers on Buffy the Vampire Slayer – explained: “When I signed on to the show, it was important to me to be an executive producer. I think that’s something that people don’t realize. When you have a producer who’s on set every day, you really get to know the crew who knows what’s going on.
“You can really build a safety net that I’ve never experienced. I just said that to them, and not only them, by the way, but I said it to the crew as well.”
Sarah made a concerted effort to support her colleagues, even when she wasn’t on set herself.
She told “Entertainment Tonight”: “I just always say to them, even when I’m not there, because I do go back and forth, ‘Call me on my phone. You don’t have to go find other people. It’s a safe place. , I basically did for them what I wished I had.”
Sarah loves filming the new series, and she also urges viewers to keep an eye out for some “breadcrumbs” that drop from the show.
The actress, who starred alongside Rodrigo Santoro and Armani Jackson, explained: “I almost liken the show to ‘The Sixth Sense’ in a sense because at the end, you almost have to go back Watch because there are breadcrumbs throughout to explain things and you don’t realize it…until the end. For me, it’s so exciting.
“It was such an incredible experience from start to finish. It’s really the kind of experience you hope to have at work. It’s communicative, it’s collaborative.”
