Saruq Al Hadid documentary links the rich past of the UAE with an innovative future – Dubai Blog

On Sunday, a documentary about the ancient International Trade Center was unveiled at a private screening. The center discovered the inspiration ring of the Expo 2020 logo. It will be available for general viewing at Expo 2020 Virtual Expo, Abu Dhabi TV and Dubai TV on Monday, November 29, and will be available on Discovery Channel soon.

The 30-minute “Sarukh Hadid: The Iron Age of Dubai” chronicles how His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, discovered the area His story-now one of Dubai’s most historic discoveries-when he found thousands of black man-made rocks on the dunes from a helicopter.

When archaeologists began to excavate the site, they found a ring with an intricate design. This ring provides inspiration for the design of the official logo for Expo 2020 Dubai, and represents the bond of the past that will help shape the future.

Manal AlBayat, Chief Participation Officer of Expo 2020 Dubai, said: “The story of Saruq Al Hadid connects Dubai’s rich past with its exciting and innovative future, showing how people of all ages can work together to create truly magical things. It is the information of Expo 2020. With this fascinating documentary, people from all over the world and from different cultures will be able to enjoy and learn from it long after the end of Expo 2020.

“This documentary also shows the incredible work done by Dubai and the UAE in protecting our ancient sites, and how to protect the rich and vibrant history of the UAE allows us to learn from the past and help everyone Build a better and brighter future.”

The documentary is a collaboration between Expo 2020 Dubai, Image Nation and Atlantic Productions.

Lina Zilinskaite, director of Saruq Al Hadid, said: “When we think of the great ancient civilizations, we immediately think of Egypt, Mesopotamia and Greece in our minds. I find it incredible to work on this project. The harvest is to show that the ancient world was much richer and more diverse than people thought, and there were other cultural centers at that time, and other major civilizations were centers of cultural activities, trade, and culture. Exchange.”

In addition to exploring the connection between historical districts and Expo 2020 Dubai, this documentary also highlights Dubai’s Iron Age and Saruq Al Hadid excavations, as well as the unique handicrafts currently on display at the Saruq Al Hadid Museum.
