Saudi Arabia Unveils Exclusive Umrah Opportunities for UAE Residents

Saudi Arabia has introduced a series of initiatives aimed at simplifying Umrah pilgrimages for UAE residents, announced by Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabiah, the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah.

Among the prominent facilities announced, UAE residents now have the option to perform Umrah using the multi-entry e-visa, allowing them to extend their stay in the Kingdom for up to 90 days per year.

To enhance connectivity between the two nations, Saudi Airlines is set to launch three weekly flights from Dubai to Medina, with plans to escalate to daily flights during the sacred month of Ramadan. Additionally, flynas Airlines has allocated low-cost flights from Abu Dhabi to Jeddah and Medina, thereby improving accessibility and affordability for pilgrims. Furthermore, the flight frequency between Dubai and Jeddah will witness a significant surge, doubling to 29 flights per week, accompanied by daily flights to Medina.

These new facilities were unveiled during Dr. Al Rabiah’s official visit to the UAE, during which he engaged in discussions with authorities on various significant topics. Among these discussions was the exploration of expanding Tasheer Saudi visa centers in the emirate, aimed at facilitating smoother visa processing for travelers.

Efforts to streamline travel procedures were also high on the agenda, with talks focusing on enabling UAE expatriates to register their fingerprints before traveling to Saudi Arabia. This initiative aims to reduce waiting times for pilgrims at land and air ports. Furthermore, discussions encompassed enhancing the quality of services at ports of entry for those arriving by land, as well as expediting and shortening entry procedures.

Dr. Al Rabiah held productive meetings with officials responsible for Umrah services, emphasizing cooperation in facilitating pilgrim arrivals and enhancing services provided by Tasheer visa centers and the Nusuk platform. These efforts are geared towards ensuring the best possible Umrah experiences for UAE expatriates.

The collaboration between Saudi Arabia and the UAE extends beyond facilitating Umrah pilgrimages to encompass broader cooperation in enhancing travel experiences for pilgrims and visitors.

Moreover, the commitment to improving the quality of services at ports of entry underscores the importance of prioritizing pilgrims’ comfort and convenience. By expediting entry procedures and minimizing waiting times, Saudi Arabia and the UAE are demonstrating their dedication to providing a welcoming and hospitable environment for visitors.

Beyond the logistical aspects of travel, the discussions also encompassed broader themes of cooperation and partnership in promoting religious tourism and cultural exchange between the two nations. By fostering closer ties and facilitating meaningful exchanges, Saudi Arabia and the UAE are laying the foundation for a deeper understanding and appreciation of each other’s cultural heritage and religious traditions.

Furthermore, the emphasis on expanding air connectivity between the two countries reflects a commitment to enhancing accessibility and affordability for travelers. With increased flight frequencies and the introduction of low-cost options, Saudi Arabia and the UAE are making it easier than ever for pilgrims and tourists to embark on their spiritual journeys.

Overall, the initiatives announced during Dr. Al Rabiah’s visit to the UAE underscore the shared commitment of Saudi Arabia and the UAE to promoting religious tourism, fostering closer ties, and enhancing the overall travel experience for pilgrims and visitors alike.
