Saweetie has little time to “eat, rest or see family”.
The 29-year-old rap star praised all of the recent Grammy-nominated artists – especially when they have to deal with “crazy” schedules.
The chart-topping star explained: “Not all the artists are behind the scenes, we really put in too much time. Our schedules have become so crazy because we work all night, all night. There is hardly any time to eat, rest Or watch Scenic Family Members.
“Thank you to all the artists who were nominated, because being recognized for hard work is truly an invaluable reward.”
Saweetie also claims that rapping is a dangerous profession following the recent deaths of PnB Rock and Drakeo the Ruler.
She told Complex: “I think a lot of people are insensitive to rappers, male or female.
“Not only is our story vulnerable, but because of some of the circumstances we’re in, it does become dangerous. I just hope the vibrations in the hip hop community lift because it’s a sad age to see young people die so early .They shouldn’t be.”
Meanwhile, Saweetie previously revealed her ambitions were fueled by sexism.
The rap star, whose real name is Diamonte Harper, has lived through sexism throughout her life, but is still determined to prove her doubters wrong.
She said: “I always prove people wrong. I always prove men wrong.
“I think women deal with it, not only in [music] industry, but in everyday life, you know, feeling unequal or disrespected. So I wouldn’t even focus on experiencing it in the industry.
“I’ve experienced sexism my whole life, but I think in times like that it just fueled my ambition to prove people who might not think I was wrong.”
