The new film revisits Epekun, telling the story of a British-American indie rock band who end up stranded in the desolate city. Their internal strife and the doom of their travels quickly melt away as they begin to discover the bloody hell that awaits them.
Camilio Zaffora wrote the screenplay for the original book and the sequel.
The show stars social media influencers david michiganMario Alarcon (the secret in their eyes), Maggie Bravie (100 candles game) and German Baudino (History of the Occult).
The rights deal was led by Cleopatra founder and CEO Brian Pereira; Cleopatra Entertainment vice president and general manager Tim Yasui; Nika Ciari, who also co-produced the film with New Zealand’s Black Mandala.
Cleopatra Entertainment plans to release the film in North America in mid-2023
Since the fall, the film has been enjoying a lively festival circuit, at Sitges Fantastic Film Festival (Spain), Blood Window Film Festival (Argentina), Boulder International Film Festival (USA) and Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (Belgium), etc.
Recent films on Cleopatra Entertainment’s list include recent releases including Tube Clock: 50th Anniversary Tour, horror films by glen danzig Death Knight of the Vampire House and British drama Mrs. Lowry and Son.
