Schneider Electric to manufacture power and energy solutions in UAE

[ad_1]

Schneider Electric and the Arab Development Agency (ARDECO) have signed a strategic agreement in ADIPEC’s side business to manufacture the latest power and energy technology solutions in the UAE. Both company representatives affirmed the strategic significance of this partnership to further strengthen the transformation of the country’s industrial sector and promote the diversification of the UAE economy.

Schneider Electric will manufacture a range of highly advanced energy automation solutions and integrated power solutions, including production switchgear and control panel integration, as well as energy automation design and engineering.

HE Yousef Al Nowais, Chairman and Managing Director of ARDECO, said the partnership will play an important role in upskilling the UAE’s skilled workforce and advancing the engineering and manufacturing knowledge base and best practices in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.

He added: “The UAE is poised to develop into a global industrial hub by 2031. At ARDECO, we are committed to the leadership’s vision and desire to achieve the ‘Made in the UAE’ strategy. The partnership with Schneider Electric enables us to continue this a journey and prepare for the UAE’s growing demand for innovative and sustainable energy solutions.”

Ahmed HassanSchneider Electric, President of the Gulf States Cluster, said: “Our partnership with ARDECO marks another important milestone in our long-term commitment to the UAE and the region. Technology and innovation are at the heart of the rapidly transforming manufacturing sector in the UAE. Schneider Electric Commitment to empowering manufacturing in the UAE will continue to drive innovation and drive the development of sustainable energy solutions locally, regionally and globally.”

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has also signed a letter of intent expressing interest in the manufacturing technology produced by Schneider Electric’s joint venture with ARDECO. This is in line with the UAE Government’s intention to support local industrialisation and the “Made in the UAE” strategy, as well as ADNOC’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the “domestic value” contribution of UAE industry.

Earlier this year, Schneider Electric and Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology Collaborate to strengthen sustainability practices in UAE manufacturing by deploying initiatives such as a comprehensive on-site sustainability assessment of 50 manufacturers by Schneider Electric consultants, a series of webinars on digital transformation and energy efficiency, and internships Upskill 50 UAE Nationals.
