Schneider Electric and Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) have joined forces to install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at Schneider Electric’s Gulf headquarters to encourage the adoption of EV solutions.
Demand for electric vehicles in the UAE market has grown steadily over the past few years and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 30% by 2028, according to the Global Electric Vehicle Readiness Index 2022.
With the installation of EV charging stations, Schneider Electric’s Dubai Silicon Oasis facility is expected to provide all EV owners with a driving range of more than 300,000 km per year, reducing direct vehicle emissions by an estimated 40,000 kg of CO2.
