Readers will notice some major changes to the TV guide included in Friday’s Enid News & Eagle.
Publisher Cindy Allen said the paper had updated its guidelines to better reflect readers’ viewing needs and priorities for TV and entertainment news.
TV Guide will now be called Screentime Arts & Entertainment Weekly.
The guide will be more focused on streaming content this week, and will also feature sports listings on a separate page for the week.
“We’re also offering more puzzles and games in the weekly section,” Allen said. “We know our readers love crosswords and other puzzles, which give them more time to spend on them.”
Another change, Allen said, is the inclusion of a weekly local calendar of events.
“News & Eagle offers a number of calendars for our readers to use, including an online calendar on our website and the Get Out section in print and online,” she said. “This addition will give readers another timely calendar each week.”
Allen said the TV guide was one of the most popular features the newspaper offered.
“Television magazines have a long and storied history and remain a staple in American homes. Readers can keep this guide handy throughout the week and refer back often,” Allen said. “We hope our readers enjoy this upgraded publication.”
Screentime Arts & Entertainment Weekly is also included in the Friday digital edition for readers of the newspaper’s digital edition.
