Serco, an international public services company, has announced the appointment of Jeffrey Miller as Director of Middle East Security and Defense.
The newly created position outlines Serco’s commitment to strengthening its defense capabilities in the region, covering procurement and program management, engineering and modernization, education, logistics and human capital management for land, sea and space.
New Director of Security and Defense will drive Serco Middle East’s defense capabilities, building on the company’s mission to support the government as an impact partner, training and developing talent in acquisition, modernization, logistics support and asset management in advancing national security . This position furthers Serco’s goal and commitment to partner with local talent by leveraging the company’s defense work experience in international markets to help realize the national vision.
rich experience
Miller has worked in the Middle East for more than 20 years and has extensive experience in government relations, acquisitions, capability development and organizational development. He previously worked in US Naval Security Assistance, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Defense Coordination Service (DCS) in the Middle East, and served active duty at the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi, where he spent three years building a solid military contact network.
Prior to working in the Middle East, Miller served more than 21 years in the U.S. Navy as a certified Navy SEAL, enlisted submariner, surface warfare officer and naval pilot, and trained as a helicopter pilot.
Before joining Serco Middle East, Miller also completed a master’s degree in International Law, International Relations and Diplomacy at Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi (PSUAD).
