We interviewed Jover De La Cruz, the Founder and Managing Director of Phil Pro Consultancies. It’s a one-stop-shop consultancy firm that provides technical support in different fields, including Marketing (Social Media), Finance, HR, PRO, etc. They provide personalized and quality-based services.

Jover is a certified Human Resources Manager having over 10 years of experience. He has technical experience in HR management and HR development, which adds more to his professional skills. Learn more about Jover De La Cruz and his company through our interview below.

How did you start your entrepreneurship journey? Do you have some advice for beginners?

My roller-coaster entrepreneur journey started last December 2021 when I felt that I wanted to change my lifestyle instead of making a profit with my full-time job. Having a business is definitely not a walk-in-the-park experience. Still, if you are passionate and you’re seeking a personally rewarding output, then I think entrepreneurship is a perfect choice.

What do you believe is the most crucial part of continuing business seamlessly?

Stick to your core – Leading everything you’re made of. Your passion will be the key to a successful business.

We saw that you are active as a leader in multiple companies. What are your goals through your companies, and how do you plan to help individuals with them?

My ultimate goal for PHIL PRO CONSULTANCIES is to showcase to all the businesses out there the new trend of strategic human resources management and back-office and support approach, which is on consultancy and outsourcing. Streaming line vital functions!

Every time we engage with any client (Business Partner), our team always starts by revisioning the client’s vision. We need to know their goal, mission, and core values, then work with the right strategizing and come up with the best possible intervention.

We always end things with proper evaluation.

Describe yourself in one word.

I am a goal-oriented person. I believe that for me to achieve maximum results from my efforts in business due to the fact I work towards clear and measurable targets.

Do employees’ energy and enthusiasm have a hand in business success? How do you plan to motivate your team to go the extra mile?

The most important asset of any company is human resources. Your employee is your gateway to success! I always introduce the concept of “family” in my team, a family that will share failure and success together. I keep them motivated by mapping out growth opportunities. If the company succeeds, so do the employees.

How would you describe your leadership style?

I may sound cliche, but I always serve as a role model. A leader serves as a role model by being an example of integrity, persistence, passion, and optimism.

Did you face any challenges during your career span? If so, how were you able to overcome them?

Transitioning from a full-time employee to an entrepreneur role, from salaried worker to self-employed, was rough. The process was exciting as it was difficult. Business success doesn’t come from taking one big leap and never looking back. If you want your business to have longevity, start small and start slow.

Are you adapting to digital transformation? How is it helping your business?

Innovation is our tool today. Embracing and applying innovative changes at the workplace makes our life easy and smooth. It is overwhelming to be a consultant for different companies and hundreds of employees managing them all together. Technological advancement makes it possible.

Do you use innovative ideas to be unique?

As part of our core, innovative business ideas have to be unique. Clients/Businessmen’s trust is precious to us. We always come up with strategic ideas favorable to our clients.

Where is your leadership going? What benefits do your clients get from your company in this competitive world?

I aim to go global in no time, but my priority is injecting the modern approach of managing business and human resources into the Dubai market.
