DUBAI: All-rounder Shadab Khan, who captained Pakistan in the recently concluded T20I series against Afghanistan in Sharjah, received his golden visa from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday.
On Instagram, Shadab shared the news of being awarded the UAE Golden Visa.
“Outside of Pakistan, the most time I have spent is in the UAE. It always feels at home. It is an honor to have the Golden Visa,” he wrote.
In the recently concluded T20I series against Afghanistan, Shadab, who has been Pakistan’s T20I vice-captain for the past two years, took the lead in Babar Azam’s absence.
However, the all-rounder failed to achieve the expected result from the series as Afghanistan dominated the first two matches and Pakistan lost.
Pakistan, however, bounced back from their first two losses to shine in the third and final game of the series as a well-rounded display saw them beat Afghanistan by 66 points and avoid whitewashing.
Shah Daab played a key role in his side’s consolation victory as he bowled a crucial 28 overs before following up with a stunning bowling stat of 3/13.
With his second scalp, Shadab also became the first Pakistani bowler to take 100 wickets in the men’s T20Is, while experienced all-rounder Nida Dar was the first to hit the milestone in the women’s T20Is .
