“Well, first of all I always tell them to ask their parents if they’re going to take things from strangers,” Shaquille said. “You don’t want kids to get used to having strangers come over and say, ‘Hey, I’ve got a A lot of money. Can I buy you something?
The former Boston Celtics player also recalled “another really meaningful” moment, from buying a plate of food for a homeless woman in Texas to reuniting her with her family.
“There was a homeless lady in front of my favorite restaurant in Texas called Bigs,” Shaquille said. “I just gave her a plate of food, and someone recorded it and posted it.
He continued: “Her sister came in crying and said to the owner, ‘Oh my God, we’ve been looking for her for six months. We can’t find her. We don’t know if there’s something wrong with her.’ They Tried to take her for help. She didn’t want to ask for help, so she was still out there, but at least her sister knew where she was.
