Both countries will strengthen their 50-year relationship.
As part of the strong relationship between the UAE and Austria, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, will pay an official visit to Austria on Thursday.
Sheikh Mohamed will hold formal talks with Austrian Prime Minister Sebastian Kurz to discuss the relationship between the UAE and Austria, as well as regional and international issues of common concern.
Both countries have strengthened their 50-year relationship and pointed out five factors that help strengthen their partnership.
The consensus of the two countries on the principles of peaceful coexistence and tolerance is an important basis for strengthening bilateral relations. Both countries support international security, stability and development, and believe in the importance of combating terrorism and the terrorist ideas advocated by extremist organizations and armed militias around the world.
>> As far as the cooperation between the UAE and Austria is concerned, considering its scale and opportunities for both countries, tourism has a bright future. Despite the impact of Covid-19, the industry is expected to gradually resume flights between the two countries, especially with the start of the 2020 Dubai Expo.
>> The UAE is Austria’s main economic partner in the region, and Austrian companies are increasing their business in the UAE to benefit from the opportunities provided by the UAE market for investors, especially in the heavy machinery and service industries.
>> The two countries are also advancing the strategic economic partnership and have held many coordination meetings to promote mutual trade and investment. The main areas of economic cooperation between the two parties include digital economy, innovation, information and communication technology, renewable energy, water, logistics services and aviation.
>> The relations between the two parliaments are stable. Friendship committees have been established between the two parliaments to exchange professional knowledge and knowledge and coordinate their views and positions in international parliamentary activities.
>> Austria aims to benefit from the 2020 Dubai World Expo and strengthen Austrian companies’ influence in the UAE and the regional market by demonstrating Austria’s technology and sustainable development, smart cities and renewable energy efforts.
The bilateral relationship between the UAE and Austria can be traced back to the time of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and then Prime Minister Bruno Kreski, who met for the first time in 1973. Their bilateral relationship was established on March 10, 1974.
