Baghdad Cooperation and Partnership Conference discusses security, political and economic issues
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, stated that the Baghdad Cooperation and Partnership Conference marked Iraq’s return to its regional and global status.
In a tweet after attending the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed stated that the meeting marked Baghdad’s return to civilization and a new story.

The meeting discussed some security, political and economic files, and also emphasized support for the Iraqi government and the fight against terrorism.
In his speech at the opening ceremony of the Baghdad Cooperation and Partnership Summit, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Kadimi said: “Terrorism is a common threat to all, and Iraq refuses to use its territory as a venue for conflict.”
He added that the Baghdad Conference embodied Iraq’s vision of cooperation, stating that Iraq will not have a foothold in terrorism, will not return to an undemocratic route, and will not have ridiculous wars. He added: “It is not just what separates them that unites the people.”
