This morning, the busiest road in the UAE was transformed into a huge bike lane for families and fitness enthusiasts to participate in the second Dubai Cycling. A total of 32,750 cyclists ride bicycles on the 14-kilometer Sheikh Zayed Road Route and the 4-kilometer Family Route to participate in a free, non-competitive community activity that is part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) 2021 Part.
The Dubai Cycling launched last year has become a hot spot on the Dubai Fitness Challenge calendar, attracting citizens, residents and tourists to gather together to ride through some of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks.
From beginners to experienced cyclists aged 10 and over, ride a 14-kilometer route from five different starting points along Sheikh Zayed Road and Lower Financial Center Road, passing some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including the future Museums, Dubai Canal, Downtown Dubai and Emirates Towers.
