[ad_1]

Si-alumina

Abu Dhabi-based food, agriculture and technology company Silal has revealed plans to open the largest automated packaging plant of its kind in Al Ain, UAE.

This state-of-the-art facility is capable of moving up to 216 tons of fresh produce per day, with grading and packing areas covering 4,930 square meters and 14,000 square meters of space.

The packhouse is equipped with innovative technology for post-harvest operations, including an automated system that can pack locally grown fruit and vegetables in under a minute.

The process takes into account the weight, dimensions and condition of the product to ensure a flawless result.

The packhouse is expected to process 65 percent of the company’s future crop, further strengthening the company’s role in supporting local agriculture.

ADQ established Silal

Silal, part of ADQ, was launched in Abu Dhabi in 2020 to diversify food sources and increase locally grown, raised and manufactured food.

ADQ has said that the new company will support the efforts of the Abu Dhabi government to ensure the safety of the food supply chain and facilitate the production and distribution of essential food items.
